This includes but is not limited to educating the client on risk mitigation; identifying potential hazards in the home and assisting the client with correcting the situation or reporting it to the corresponding parties; keeping a clean and organized home to prevent trips, falls, and blocking of emergency exit paths; to assist client to locate all fire alarms in the home and test them regularly; identifying emergency exits and evacuation plans; placing emergency phone numbers near a phone or other easily accessible location; keeping medications and doctor information organized and accessible; educate client on the dangers of plugging up too many electrical appliances to one outlet; the potential of starting a fire by smoking in the house or leaving the stove on and unattended; the dangers of leaving appliances on while leaving the home unattended; the dangers of leaving the bathroom, kitchen, and other room floors wet and slippery; assisting the client to identify potential hazards in the community and how to avoid them; educating the client on potential negative influences in the community, the potential harm that can come from associating with them, and how to avoid or walk away from such undesirables; educating on the dangers associated with going out late at night and traveling about the community for recreational activities, to socialize, or simply loiter the streets; educating the client on activities that are or may be considered illegal
