Shellyn AguirreQuality Assurance ManagerShe volunteered four years an audio reader for the visually impaired with the Disabled Student Services also on campus. In 1998 she received a Conflict Mediation and Resolution Certificate from the Claremont Dispute and Resolution Center where she used this training at Students TALK (Teaching Awareness Learning Knowledge, a student run organization dedicated to educating the community for the pursuit of a higher education. After graduation, she began working part time as a counselor for Esperanza Services. She soon earned the position as the Independent Living Service Program Manager where she was successful in assisting clients in obtaining permanent housing. Currently, she is Esperanza Services Systems and Quality Control Manager. Presently, she attends California State University, Los Angeles in pursuit of her Masters in Social Work where she hopes to use her education to develop a specialized program for children of regional center clients to pursue a higher education and esteem building. |
